Titus 2 July 2025 activities:- 7/31/2025
-An unhomed AL woman in her 50’s undergoing cancer treatment came to a local mission for a services. Titus 2 provided transportation and assistance to purchase wound care supplies, socks, other needed personal items. It was confirmed that she does have transportation for her next medical evaluation out of town.
- Telecounseling appointments completed for 2 new clients.
- Class sessions at 3 programs in July-5 hours
- First July monthly visit to Panama City delayed a week due to coinciding with July 4th holiday. Trips set for 7/10-11, 7/24-25
- July Meals on Wheels monthly route to 13 clients at 11 homes on first Wednesday 1.5 hours
- Refreshed supplies for coffee bar and fruit flavored drink packets for water bottles provided by Titus 2 at Montgomery St. One Church Mission and delivered extra towels and laundry basket for shower rooms on site. Supervised cleaning of public area by volunteers.
- Facilitated referral for a woman in transitional recovery to Vocational Rehab and Blind Services for employment and medical evaluation of disability. She was approved for services and has an appointment scheduled.
- Family support for a woman in out-of-country language training for future mission field work.
- Secured donation of washer and dryer for young single mother in Alabama. Delivered and installed by volunteers on 7/12/25
- Cash food assistance to unhomed female in AL and provided several articles of cooler summer clothing.
- Organized clothing in One Church Mission clothes closet and served shower service supervision duty – 3 days (12 hours) 7/14,16,17
- Towel laundry service done for One Church Mission client services during director’s absence. 3 hours
- Provided new bath cloths for client shower service at Montgomery Mission
- Provided several packages of assorted adult underwear and socks for clothes closet and shower service at One Church Mission.
- Values survey counseling sessions with 4 individuals
- Cash food assistance $15 to an individual for day trip out of town for medical assistance
- Recovery program referral for two females
- Sponsorship applications submitted to men’s weekend Christian retreat for 2 men formerly in recovery program classes- (Deposits $25 each)
- Provided shaving supplies and other personal items for men to Montgomery Mission.
- Snack supper provided for college young adult Bible study group at local church in Montgomery.
- Led Crosswalk SS class lesson at Christ Methodist Church 4 weeks -4 hours
- Organizing “The Shoes That Grow” campaign for Honduras children’s home (where Kris and Steve Nelson serve at staff and houseparents) for end of year gifts. Goal 35 pairs with 70 pairs of socks. (Goal met as of 7/27/25. Ordering in August and coordinating delivery to Honduras through a mission trip by a church group.)
- Assisted employed Mom in life recovery with reinstatement of drivers license to further her employment opportunities.
- Assisted a family head of household known from previous counseling who lost housing due to extended hospitalization and medical rehabilitation to secure housing again as he prepares to return to employment.
- Provided needed supplies to a residential recovery group in lock-down with COVID outbreak.
- Provided family bereavement support by transporting out-of-town family member from out of state to and from the funeral in Florida.
- Individual counseling, case management, teaching sessions, spiritual assistance- Total: 58 hrs, 26 individuals
