It is extremely hard to sell nice things, antique things, etc., on FB Marketplace because so many people are oriented to a flea market attitude and think that if you’re selling something there you must be desperate for money….. like selling at a pawn shop! 🤣🤣 Then, too may times, even when you agree to sell something at their offer price, they never show up. May God bless those who are looking for something they like and want for a fair price! Especially when the proceeds are to fund Kingdom needs! And may I be responsible in providing for the truly needy what they need today.
Titus 2’s ministry was gifted the contents of two homes recently by families after elderly family members died, in one case, and a mother moved in with a child in the other. Four pick up truck loads and numerous carloads of home furnishings, cleaning supplies, linens, food, and other miscellaneous household items went directly to a soon-to-open women and children’s shelter. Several other families got nice and needed household items at very fair prices. Some items have been given away to known persons in need. Some items are being stored for future needs as families move into independent housing from the shelter. A number of non-essential decorative items are placed on market place. Many items will be ultimately sold for pennies on the dollar or given away. But our purpose is to use such resources to meet kingdom needs of those who are hard-pressed. We have already expended and committed to over $2200 cash assistance in recent weeks to kingdom needs from the proceeds of sales (including medical bill assistance, utility bill assistance, transportation assistance, food assistance, medications, and undesignated grants to other Christian ministries, and there will be additional resources to assist in the weeks and months to come.
Honesty and fairness are valued in the kingdom economy. Not so such so by the economy of the world.
