”Thank You For Asking!”

I was asked, “why are you selling this?”

My response:

I lead a 501c3 women and families ministry that I support, in part, through sales of donated items from friends. One friend of mine had a serious near death experience in November.  It has brought to her awareness how much of a hoarder she has been.  Her daughter does not want her overstuffed home to have to clean out when she is gone, she said.  She called and asked me to take boxes and boxes of household things to use or sell for ministry support.  I partner with several other ministries and serve as a resource for needs like buying cell phones or minutes for those our agencies are working with, paying for meds, getting birth certificates or other legal documents, paying for teeth extractions, getting uniforms to start jobs for clients, as well as the needs of my own discipleship students.  Some things go directly into use in one of the shelters I help resource.  Other things are gifted to individuals and families in need.  Other things are sold to provide funding for these other needs.  It is an all-volunteer ministry that operates on the principles of the kingdom economy.  God owns it all.

  • We are stewards.
  • We use what we can within our community or connections.
  • We sell what isn’t needed immediately to buy other things that are needed now.
  • It’s the Acts 2 church in action…..

…as reported in these verses: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

When we receive things our partners can’t use or place with their clients, we sell them. So, at this time some items are being sold to fund needed items for the reopening of Mary Ellen’s Place, a women and children’s shelter whose management Titus 2 Partnership, Inc. Will participate in with Ladonna Brindle’s ministry as she is taking over operation of Mary Ellen’s Place ministry in the weeks ahead . ❤️😊(“Heart Smiling!”)

Check out Titus 2 Ministry for Women on FB or www.titus2.life, our website.  I’ve been serving women in recovery from addiction, trauma abuse, grief, and other life- limiting obstacles for 20 years in Panama City ,FL and just recently moved back to Montgomery, where we raised our kids (1973-1994).  My husband died during COVID, so I closed Titus 2’s residential recovery program in August 2023 and made plans to move back here to be close to my sister, daughter, and other family members.  I still go back to Panama City a couple of times a month to teach and serve with  residential recovery programs there.

Thank you for asking.  We love talking about how God provides what is needed by people we are called to serve!!
