Titus 2 Ministry Report – June 2026

-Gifted monthly $25 to Lorraine’s Bake Shop “pay it forward” fund to assist indigent downtown neighbors who may need a coffee/snack break, especially during inclement weather days. (6/3)

-Family support for woman in prison to maintain regular phone contact with her family. Reports that she is doing well. (6/2)

-Ongoing monthly community care service organization’s networking cost of communication to agency and individual representatives through newsletter support for 

Community Adult Protective Team (CAPT) in Bay County, FL-$18.67 (6/28) 

*CAPT team admin transferred to a new managing entity, Disability Resource Center as of June. This support for admin assistance will no longer be needed. 

-Provided assorted items for Mary Ellen’s place- shelf for public bathroom, 2 baseball gloves, other items for supply closet and playroom. 

-Liaison communication with multi/church women’s group, Hope Circle, to identify possible mission projects at Mary Ellen’s Place for their consideration.  Confirmed arrangements for Saturday farmers!’ market produce gleaning donations to be delivered to Mary Ellen’s Place starting June 6th and tbroughout dimmer. ( 6/1)

-Delivered infant swing and wooden children’s puzzles to MEP donated by a family from Christ Methodist Church- (6/3)

-Completed monthly delivery for Meals on Wheels route (6/3 and substituted for another driver 6/16)

-Ongoing assistance with temporary shelter, transportation, and assistance with part time employment placement for a woman working a major geographic relocation plan, additional career certification, and employment transition. This counseling, mentoring, and direct financial and housing assistance began in November 2025.  She has job interviews scheduled and completes certification exam 7/13 in Atlanta. 

-Delivered group of belts, clothes, and shoes from Titus 2 to  MEP (6/4)

-Benevolence case management for Lynn Haven Methodist Church, Heritage Bible Church and Christ Methodist Church-MGM-  7 completed for June 

-Provided 2 trash cans, sheets, microwave, pots/pans, serving bowls, kitchen utensils, bedspread, 4 bed pillows, and more to family of 4 moving from temporary shelter to permanent rental housing. (6/6) 

-Contacted county mental health facility in FL to request accelerated appointment by 2 weeks for follow up and renewal of medication for former Titus 2 student. Admin and clinical supervisors accelerated appointment date given immediate need due to changed medical circumstances (6/4)

-Met with female for case management regarding immediate need for evaluation of dental issues resulting from recent fall, per emergency room discharge instructions. Faith community has offered to assist with payment, if needed. Met with Montgomery dental office staff to schedule evaluation appointment set for Monday, 6/15 and will proceed with request for medical insurance coverage to cover cost due to accident already reported and covered for emergency room care and their discharge orders.  Complications to eating due to the loss of multiple teeth and damage to surrounding tissue. Assisted with insurance claim for preapproval. (6/11) 

-Phone consult with individual regarding resources in Bay Co. catchment area for addiction recovery, shelters, transitional housing. They are pursuing grants and locations. To follow up with appointment in near future.(6/9)

-Provided needed change of clothing to a disabled homeless female. (6/10) 

-Provided funding assistance for uniform clothing required for a young lady starting a new job at a fast food restaurant tomorrow.(6/10)

-Purchased and prepared items for 16  birthday party gift bags, including $10 Walmart  gift cards, for June birthday party for 2 children at Mary Ellen’s Place. Share of cost provided by MEP volunteer, Susan Teel. (6/10) 

-Case management consult with women’s shelter staff and a resident mom at PCRM in FL in need of financial assistance for 1 week of childcare for 3 children as she starts work Monday and awaits child support check due later in the month. Provided 1 week of childcare through PCRM case management staff with plan in place going forward with accountable case management. (6/10)

-Consultation and referrals for a recovery program in FL seeking new space for program after lease issues arose.(6/11,6/20) 3 hrs.

– Purchased coffee K cups , creamers and sugar for MEP residents and volunteers coffee dervice. (6/10)

– Consultation with an individual regarding need for a vehicle for a Titus 2 client.  Scheduled visit with dealer  for 7/7 to consider arrangements.1 hr. (6/20)

– Several days of food provided to a disabled and unhomed individual. (6/20)

– Provided $100 for purchase of cleaning equipment and supplies for independent living apartment for a woman.  Provided donated trash cans, pitcher and glasses, bowls, other kitchen needs. (6/20)

– Financial counseling assistance with woman in difficult divorce situation. Set up computer budgeting tools, assisted with online banking account set up, and walked her through first month of income and expense entries in excel worksheet. Reviewed other “to-do” list items with her for transfer of all payment accounts and other items to her own name at new apartment.  Followed up later to assure comfort and understanding of new systems in place for managing independent living. -Met with woman in Deatsville selling her deceased mother’s home to pick up items donated to Titus 2- some furniture, small appliances, kitchen and other household items (6/22)

– Transported woman to out of town municipal court to begin process to reinstate her drivers license. Worked with her through “Failure to Appear” warrant process that had been issued 4 years ago as her youngest child battled a congenital illness from which he died in 2023. She has struggled through years of grief and is now ready to begin life recovery counseling and assistance process. (6/23)

* Provided her 3 hours community service with Titus2 ($45 value) toward repayment of cash bond of $441 to County Court. Additional hours to be used toward repayment.

– Provided several hours of yard work for gentleman living in motel to supplement  his income  to remain in housing. $60 (6/24)

– Met with staff at Medical Outreach Mission in Montgomery to review Titus 2 counseling and assistance with clients. Scheduled to start services there 7/6.  (6/25)

-Transported load of donated furniture and boxes of household giod from Chipley, FL to Montgomery for support if Titus 2 and partner ministries. (6/27)

– Partial payment for car part, along with a Montgomery church and a family member of a single mother with young child for a qualified church volunteer to repair her car. (6/29) 

– Transported a foreign student  recently graduated from university PhD program back to out of town apartment after a brief stay in Montgomery for job interviews, at the request of a local church pastor where she had also assisted with Sunday’s worship. (6/29)

– Gifted multiple kitchen, other household and personal items to individuals and families in need through online charitable donation social media site. (6/29)

– Provided holiday paper goods for a July 4 celebration at Mary Ellen’s Place for 24 people. (6/30)

– Donated fabric shoe organizer to MAry Ellen’s Place clothes closet from a Christ Church Titus 2 donor. (6/30)

– Delivered apples, grapes, carrots, milk, boxes of popcorn, bag of onions, and strawberries from Titus 2 to moms and kids in residence at MEP shelter. (6/29)

– Delivered assorted canned meats and other food items for food pantry at MEP donated by Christ Methodist Church members as well as bed  linens and clothing. (6/29)

– Phone consult with a pastor in Bay Co., FL regarding options for shelter and other assistance for a 60+ year old woman in difficult circumstances. (6/29)

– Church benevolence case management  cases for June -6 

-Total volunteer hours as case manager/navigator and resident host at Mary Ellen’s Place in June- 57.5 hours. Of those, case management was 5 hours. 

-Tius 2 Ministry’s Individual counseling and case management work. (Other than with residents at Mary Ellen’s Place or Church benevolence cases).  20  individuals,  56.5  hours.
