in a prayer workshop in February 2024 we were given a visioning prayer assignment in response to the way in which we felt God guiding us after the workshop. We were told to make a list of 3-4 obstacles and 3-4 opportunities arising from our sense of God’s leading. I knew immediately what the obstacles were for me- feeling the need for additional training or certification which felt onerous and undesirable, as well as the opinions of others in response to what I felt God was preparing me for. The opportunity seemed clear, as well… to sit face to face in intimate Holy Conversations with people to assist them to a place of freedom. In the process I was instructed to think of a physical thing that represented the main obstacle and opportunity. For the obstacle I chose a certificate of study in deliverance. For the opportunity I chose a teacup and saucer. We were instructed to imagine putting both items into a box and bri g them to an altar and wait for Christ to join us. I imagined kneeling with my box at an altar familiar to me and I waited in silence. In a few I imagined Jesus Christ coming to the altar to address the obstacles and opportunities I placed before Him in preparation for moving forward with the direction He seemed to be guiding me.
The response I felt from the Lord God as I waited at the altar was two-fold. Jesus, in coming to me said nothing. He simply opened my box and took the certificate in His hands and tore it in two. His surprising response was, “You already have everything you need.” Regarding the teacup representing opportunities, He lifted it in His hands and His Word was, “I’ll be right there with you!” He smiled and my visioning prayer ended.
My spirit was lifted and I arose from there ready for whatever He would do with me.
