Some things are only seen for the successes they are when viewed from a little distance. A student today paid off a fine from several years ago. She was so happy to have that task completed and said it such an accomplishment, something she’d been trying to do for a while. I asked her what else she’d accomplished since coming to Titus 2. She recounted to me on the way home from the courthouse all the things she’s accomplished since arriving at Titus 2 nearly six months ago- restored drivers’ license, employment, emotional and medical stabilization, forgiveness of self and others, completion of divorce after long years of separation, restoration of her maiden name, renewed self-respect and hope for the future, and more! She could hardly believe all that she’d achieved and praised God for helping her find her way through nearly 10 years of grief and chaos in her life. She is setting new goals for growth and independence for the next six months and is grateful to all who have participated in helping her recover a quality of life she had not imagined possible when this year began.
