Experiencing God’s BEST Daily

God’s place…God’s time….I visited with a couple of families with members having surgery this morning and decided to have lunch at the hospital cafeteria, which I have never done before while on such a mission. I had on my LHUMC clergy name tag. A volunteer from the ER sat down across from me to eat and when he saw my badge, he asked me if I had time to meet with a young man from out of state who had brought his girlfriend into the ER last night. I found him and we visited in the Chapel. He’s a recent new believer. I visited with her, too. When I sat down she said, “I knew you were coming.” I asked, “How did you know?” She said, “Because I asked God to send someone I could talk to.” Afterward, I called Chaplain Jack Hankins to let him know I’d been invited into service while in his territory… Thanking the Lord for the opportunity to visit with these young people who got detoured while on vacation and for the friendship of pastors in the community. One never knows what the day will bring…….but if you ask God to use you, God will!  (From 7/6/16)

It is amazing how God will use an available servant to minister to someone over a lunch table, in the aisle of a pharmacy or grocery store, in a yoga class, after a movie excursion, in a waiting room, on a park bench, in a parking lot or anywhere one happens to go. Just listen and obey.
