Have you had a time when you were in a restful, pleasant and happy place in your mind, not mulling over something or ruminating or problem-solving at any kind of conscious level when suddenly, right out of the blue (or out of the grey “matter”, more accurately speaking) a sudden realization drops into your head that makes certain situations make sense? That happened to me this weekend. I had to call one of my pastors at LHUMC, because it was such a stunning realization that I would not have come to it on my own, I don’t believe. It was surely God revealing something significant to me. And in a very timely manner, too, as it relates to something coming up in my life. Maybe God uses “Sabbath” time, when we are rested, peaceful and in sync with him and the world to give answers to questions we haven’t even fully formulated and articulated. And that, too, is a worthy lesson in and of itself…..enjoy your Sabbath today! May God speak to your heart and mind in the midst of it! 5/1/2016
