Progressive humanists/educators once opined that children were “Tabula Rosa”, NOT bigoted, but loving and accepting of one another and that prejudiced behavior is learned through the corrupting influence of culture.
Consider this: Now, with “new and improved theology” they are coming around to the Christian view of the brokenness of humanity at the level of systems and institutions, even all creation, at the level of genetics, and world views….
NEWS FLASH…. It’s not just people with white European ancestry who are marred by such human corruption…. brokenness is the universal human condition. Christians attribute it to the impact of universal Original Sin. Keep it up with the CRT, Progressives, and pretty soon you’ll be affirming the Christian worldview in toto! 😄😄😄
Jesus was enveloped in cultural worldview criticized as corrupt by some, but he also had the protective enveloping of the Holy Spirit’s care throughout his life to protect him from the corrupting influence of that culture and the marred human condition in general, hence, his sinlessness. To impugn his mature character as bigoted and having to be taught to NOT discriminate as others did is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit’s presence and work in his life. Jesus repeatedly said to “come as a little child”…. from a family of discipline, moral teaching and loving support, able to withstand the corrupting influence of the world, with the trusting nature of a child, with gentleness and interest in knowing all that one can learn.
” And when He became twelve, they went up there (to Jerusalem) according to the custom of the Feast; and as they were returning, after spending the full number of days, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. But His parents were unaware of it, but supposed Him to be in the caravan, and went a day’s journey; and they began looking for Him among their relatives and acquaintances. When they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem looking for Him. Then, after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers.” 10/10/21 CBByrd
