No Chocolate milk and Cliff Notes

From 1/4/22. CBB

“it was a gradual process as God led me to His purpose for my life….to teach and open up the Word of God for others …. to challenge and invite them into a deeper contemplative life in Christ. It seems that many want short, quick, easy to understand mini-inspirations….. to be given life’s cliff notes.

At Titus 2’s ministry discipling women we can regularly have long discussions- 2 hours or more- covering principles in God’s Word and applying them to our lives.

Institutional church and religious habit train us to expect 20 minute, 3 point devotional sermons that focus on 1 or 2 key verses. We seldom engage with the whole of the Word and allow God to take us where He desires.

One can tell who spends time listening to God through his Word and Spirit and chewing on the meat of the Word compared to those who drink chocolate milk by how they hunger and thirst for righteousness.

God urges me to share things of the Word that are revealed in times of contemplation or discipleship. It’s like casting bread on the waters for those who are emaciated spiritually and simply don’t realize it…..God has put a desire in me to proclaim his truth wherever and however I can….”
