-Assisted with cost of medication for newborn in family shelter in Panama City while waiting for approval of Medicaid coverage.
-Assistance to individual in transitional care with medical co-pay for outpatient surgery who is unable to work for a couple of weeks during recovery. Assistance shared by a Panama City Benevolence Partner church. Sat with her in pre-op, prayed, waited during surgery, and followed up during recovery time.
-Coffee service items restocked for Truth and Reality weekly Bible Study group, now meeting at Mary Ellen’s Place. Relocated supplies and equipment to new meeting location.
-Flowers for a dinner event delivered to friend who permits me to stay at her home while on Panama City ministry trips.
-Food gathered from pantry and freezer of elderly lady moving out of state transferred to community food closet at Mary Ellen’s Place, along with the donated freezer.
-Delivered donation of 5 large adult coats to clothes closet of Reality and Truth Ministry from Christ Methodist Church member family.
-Delivered 2 bags of donated women’s clothing to clothes closet at Reality and Truth Ministries.
-Completed mentoring a woman in the six-week cohort class of Hope Inspired Ministry’s employment training.
-Invited to fill pulpit one Sunday at Christ Methodist Church- Montgomety for Pastor Misty Barrett while she traveled for family events.
-Taught life recovery program classes in Panama City. (2/7, 2/19)
-Cleared 2 homes of furnishings donated by owners’ families, one who died and one who moved out of state with son. Hauled 4 pick-up loads of furniture items and multiple car loads of assorted household items to Mary Ellen’s Place in preparation for setting up for April opening. Sold numerous items to raise funds for Titus 2 and the partnering ministries supported by us.(between 2/7-2/28- approx 60 hours of work. Assisted by 3 community volunteers from Reality and Truth Ministry, who worked for lunch meals and minimal monetary compensation! Many thanks to our friends!
-Unrestricted grant of $250 to a life recovery residential program.
-Purchased phone for lady living on street considering readiness for residential recovery support.
-Received carload of boxed donations of household items from volunteer associate in Panama City from our ramp building years with Crossing Paths Ministry. Began sorting and disbursing.
-Partnership in community care ministry through $25 monthly gift to “pay it forward” fund to allow Lorraine’s Bake Shop in downtown Montgomery to gift coffee and food, as needed, to unhomed community neighbors in downtown area, especially during recent
freeze days.
-4 partner churches’ benevolence case management requests completed in February.
-Provided food items and laundry access and laundry supplies for a homeless individual living in temporary housing without laundry availability.
-Attended 3 day Seedbed New Room Pastors’ Retreat at Ridgecrest Retreat Center at Black Mtn., NC 2/25-2/27. Overnight of 2/24 in Sandy Springs, GA, fellowship with Seedbed friend.
