Titus 2 Ministry May 2025 Activity Report

-Assisted a family member of neighbors of many years, who immigrated to US over 2 decades ago, to complete necessary paperwork for application for naturalization as a US citizen. The other spouse had previously completed the process.

-Assisted a mother of school age children in gathering together documentation and resources to assist her to pay off an out of state traffic fine and counseled development of a workable budget plan for securing a FL license, car registration, and insurance to secure a full time job.

-Provided 10 gift cards to a Bay Co. recovery ministry to assist program’s new clients to secure necessary personal needs while they get oriented and prepare to work.

-Gifted a copy and read Max Lucado’s book, “You Are Special,” to a co-ed recovery program as part of a class at the end of a 4-part series of sessions on spiritual conflict resolution.

-Facilitated groups at a recovery day center in Montgomery for women and men in recovery.
Provided food for a social gathering of clients at a Montgomery recovery day center.

-Connected with a Montgomery Co. Celebrate Recovery group and a women’s ministry that provides holistic services to women in recovery.

-Completed annual reporting to IRS and the state of Florida for Titus 2 non-profit status.

-Began recovery support specialist certification process in Alabama.

-Renewed certification for Recovery Support Specialist in FL

-Conducted group teaching and discussion sessions bi-weekly at 3 programs in Bay Co.

-Completed 14 mentoring/discipleship sessions with individuals.

-Met with director of One Church Mission and Reality and Truth Ministries. Toured the day resource center under construction, discussing potential ways for Titus 2 Partnership, Inc. to be part of their activities.

-Visited a women’s transitional home in Montgomery and met with members of the ministry’s discipleship team and a new transitional resident.

-Provided a box of chicken and cheese wrap sandwiches and individually packaged fresh banana bread slices for Jesus City Church in downtown Montgomery to hand out during an evangelism walk to serve and share with unhoused and transient individuals in the area on a rainy Saturday.

-Made 2 referrals of young men seeking long term faith-based chemical addiction recovery to available recovery beds in partner programs.

-Provided transportation (and encouragement!) to complete required parole and job preparation activities at various agencies during a 3-day period for a woman in re-entry transition after lengthy incarceration at a state women’s prison.

-Provided home baked desserts for a Mother’s Day pot luck dinner at a substance abuse recovery resource day center and visited with guests.

-Provided a luncheon of slider buns, sliced pork tenderloin, pickles, barbecue sauce, and chips for day recovery clients and staff at a local resource center.

-Began 12 step study with a life recovery client.

-Delivered a tray of sliced home baked banana bread and donated men’s and women’s clothing to a weeknight supper of One Church Mission in Montgomery.

-Delivered donated magazines to a women’s discipleship meeting for a project at The Well and donated some new artwork for the women’s transition residence.

-Provided a k-cup coffee pot, boxes of k-cups, and coffee service needs for One Church Mission weekly community Wednesday night Bible Study. Attended Bible study, met men and women served by the Mission. Took guest to Bible study.

-Delivered men’s clothing, ladies clothing donations to clothes closet at nightly mission supper.

-Donated cake decorating supplies to distribute with Valiant Academy’s family cake baking packages for the Reality and Truth nightly dinner.

-Conducted a week of intensive life-renewal counseling, assessments, and assignments with a woman in Alabama.

-Attended open house of Montgomery Christian School (K-Grade 6) as they prepare to move into a high-visibility newly purchased facility and discussed Titus 2 volunteering with parents and staff.

-Purchased supplies and organized a craft activity for a local Montgomery church’s family Vacation Bible School based on Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep.

-Referred 1 woman to long term recovery program.
