August 2025 Activities

  • 2 boxes of Titus 2 kitchenware, bag of towels, and wicker lingerie chest given to single adult woman setting up housekeeping.
  • Bag of greeting cards and assorted sewing notions donated and delivered to senior disabled woman for craft making for sale and gifting in Montgomery area.
  • Personal hygiene products donated to woman caring for grandchild in her home.
  • Clothing and household items donated through Titus 2 distributed to multiple charitable thrift stores and ministries.
  • Keurig K-cup holder and refill on supplies delivered to coffee service cart at One Church Mission
  • Completed monthly assigned Meals on Wheels route. (1st Wednesdays.)
  • Donated 2 participant scholarships for Arrows Addiction Recovery Retreat Conference for women and families being held in September in PC Beach.
  • 2 bed donations secured and pick up arranged for family moving back into housing after being out of personal housing for 4 months due to illness.
  • Placed a donated washer and dryer with a family in Panama City.
  • Received men’s and women’s clothing and distributed them to appropriate ministries’ clothes closets.
  • Counseled with a woman regarding addiction issues in a family.
  • Shipped books, journal, and a needed household item to a woman after in-person counseling revealed interests and need.
  • Provided package of diapers to a mother with infant.
  • Provided meal for homeless gentleman and talked to Hope Inspired Ministries staff about how their ministry meets needs of some homeless individuals. Visited with Director of HIM 8/14/25 to learn more about their program.
  • Volunteered to mentor a woman in Hope Inspired Ministries’ program weekly during lunch.
  • Completed an additional Meals on Wheels delivery 8/11/25 Substituting for a vacationing volunteer.
  • Classes in life recovery taught in Panama City 8/6-7, 8/20-21
  • Spiritual and life recovery counseling with 15 individuals, 21.5 hours
  • Consulted with 2 recovery program executives regarding program personnel needs and expansion plans.
  • Assisted a gentleman who had gotten accidentally locked out of his vehicle at a Local retail store parking lot to secure a locksmith.
  • Received orders of socks, the “shoes that grow”, and vinyl drawstring bags. Secured donation of suitcase to pack the goods and obtained delivery instructions to Kris Nelson at children’s home by way of a mission partner traveling to Sula, Honduras in October. Thanks to all who made this gift possible!
  • Gifted funding for purchase of 9 guitars for music classes with elementary students at a Christian school serving all-scholarshipped children that is expanding in a new location.
  • Delivered home baked cake to a young man continuing in a residential recovery program. Also, visited with men’s and women’s staff members to encourage and affirm the growth of their program and discuss referrals to their program of men and women encountered in street outreach activities
  • Provided funding for the purchase of 2 large sorting bins, 10 clear storage tubs, and 14 clear plastic bins for small item sorting and storage in the One Church Mission clothes and hygiene closet to help organize and facilitate improved use of space for volunteers working the area
  • Purchased kitchen and bath linens and cooking utensils needed by older single female veteran in independent housing.
