I have a young friend who receives motivational texts daily through an app she downloaded. Today as I drove her to work she said, “Some days my motivational text isn’t very motivating, like this one today!” (See below.) Her motivational text and her response to it made me laugh. I reminded her what she had said yesterday about what a long, grueling work week it has been and said to her, “Look on the bright side. At least you made it through to Friday and now you have the whole weekend to look forward to AND you get paid for making it through today!”. We laughed. Just then we realized that The Message radio station was playing Katie Nicole’s song “Hold on!”. God, it seems, took the opportunity to reinforce the message! And He helps us find the humor in our circumstances if we’re willing to listen.
