Forgiveness

It is amazing how simply understanding why something that seemed so out of character and incomprehensible in the behavior of someone came to be gives one the freedom to finish the hard labor of forgiveness that has struggled to be born. Thank you, Lord, for your gifts of this day!

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”
― C.S. Lewis

“True forgiveness is when you can say, “Thank you for that experience.”
― Oprah Winfrey

“Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.”
― Mark Twain

“I wondered if that was how forgiveness budded; not with the fanfare of epiphany, but with pain gathering its things, packing up, and slipping away unannounced in the middle of the night.”
― Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner
