Sometimes the simplest way to resolve a demonic presence is to simply listen to the person who is under its influence…. The Holy Spirit will reveal deceptions and give one the opportunity to combat the Enemy in ways that do not involve physical restraint, combativeness, or even disclosure of one’s recognition of that demon’s presence. When the individual under assault is gently and firmly guided into knowledge, understanding, and obedience to the Word of God, the demonic spirit will find itself attempting to abide in an environment that is no longer hospitable and will flee of its own accord. (“Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee! James 4:7) One can sometimes witness its departure as a sudden change of heart and mind in the individual under assault. There are key spiritual milemarkers that may be observed and, in their absence, one begins to hone in to the specific degree and location of one’s bondage and can pray and encourages more effectively.)
All Hallow’s Eve may be a time when the devil and his devotees seek to make an uncloaked effort to invoke chaos and mayhem, but we can disregard, even laugh at them for “Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.”
