Pouring Out Your Pain To God

SAY THAT AGAIN FOR THE ONES IN THE BACK…..

“Pouring out your pain to God, brings the wound into the presence of God. Biblical confession is not faith in your confession. It is faith in Christ expressed through confession. Your confession brings your heart and mouth under His authority and you are enthroning the truth in your own hearing.”

It actually brings my knowledge of and distress over the wound into the presence of God. He already knows it’s there. To be healed, I need to see and seek help for the wound, not deny, cry over, suppress or stoically endure the woundedness…..

Jesus says, “Do you WANT to be healed?” (Or is your wound giving you an excuse to be angry, bury your head, pout, blame others, or act out? )

Give the woundedness to God. He will transform it into brokenness in which He will comfort you, then heal and redeem it into beauty and wellbeing, (scars and all) that stand as a testimony to your victory, having overcome for God’s glory, others’ gain, and evidence of the fullness of the LORD God’s goodness to you!)

“There is a difference between bringing your pain to God and letting your pain become your theology. The Psalms are full of honest cries. David poured out his complaint before the Lord, Psalm 142:2. Jeremiah deeply lamented and poured out his pain to God about his prophetic calling, he felt deceived by God and cried out about his unceasing pain, Jeremiah 15:10–18, Jeremiah 20:7–18. Job wrestled with anguish. Rather than accepting his suffering silently, Job questions Gods justice, demands an explanation and expresses his emotional and spiritual devastation, Job 6:1-4, Job 7:11, Job 10:1-3, Job 30:20-23. Pouring out your pain to God, brings the wound into the presence of God. Biblical confession is not faith in your confession. It is faith in Christ expressed through confession. Your confession brings your heart and mouth under His authority and you are enthroning the truth in your own hearing. “Pour out your heart before God. You can trust in Him at all times, for He is your refuge,” Psalm 62:8.” Dottie Wilson
