From August 6,2020 Evening announcement:
Bill Byrd, my beloved partner in life and ministry, quietly and gently surrendered his spirit and soul to the loving arms of the Lord at 5:00pm today. Very peaceful. His children and grandchildren gave him a tender send off with prayers, scripture and singing by phone while my sister, Carol Boyd Andrews , and I stayed by his bed at Gulf Coast Medical Center ICU. He is greatly loved and will be missed by many. As Carol and I talked today there have been a number of indicators for quite a few months that Bill was readying himself, and me, for his home going….. conversations and actions. He knows and loves the Lord and his love for his family is something we all treasure in our hearts.

Commit your ways to Him, trust in Him, and He will act on your behalf.”

Morning request:
Bill had a sudden unexpected health crisis yesterday. Part of the standard treatment for patients with COVID is blood thinner to reduce the risk from clots. Unfortunately, Bill suffered a GI bleed and had a sudden decrease of blood pressure and a crisis that lasted several hours, including cardiac arrest. He had to be put on a ventilator and is in ICU at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Your prayers for Bill and all of us are greatly appreciated.
