“Have You Heard The Joke….?”

I would have said “offered without comment” about this news report, but that does a disservice to this young lady and to the Lord….. I think her joke was funny and each of us, if we have a truly intimate relationship with the Lord, know that God has a sense of humor, too, and loves us so much He will forgive us if we cross a line. Saying that He loves anyone of us the best is what we all want to feel but we know that God, in His goodness loves all of us and as Scripture says, He shows no partiality. If she is a Christian and loves the Lord, then He will use this to help her know his will and she will be blessed by what comes of it.

I remember a day when I, at age 39 or 40, was newly renewed and maturing in my surrendered life in Christ. I walked out of a women’s restroom at church and saw one acquaintance talking to another about the Lord. I heard her saying with trembling voice and tears, “Nobody has a relationship with the Lord like I do!” I was taken aback by her statement and remember thinking to myself, “Well that seems a bit haughty. Who does she think she is? The reincarnated mother of Jesus???” It seemed so bold and dismissive of others’ relationship, including my own, that thought it was inappropriate for someone to say. Several years later, as I matured more in my faith, I came to see the truth of her statement. Truly, the Lord is desiring to be so intimate, so personal, so engaged with and is so knowledgeable of all of the influences and experiences and thoughts of our lives, that each believing follower, in fact, has the right and privilege as a child of God to say: NONE OF US HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM LIKE ANYONE ELSE!!! This is true! God will abide in the depths of our spirit, soul, and body through the sanctifying work of His Holy Spirit to the extent we are willing to receive Him!

That is the true wonder of God!!! That He finds each of us so worth His a attention and love that He was willing to come among us and die for us to demonstrate His live! He wants each of us to feel personally and intimately cherished and adored.

It is truly remarkable when one comes to this kind of one-on-one relationship with Almighty God! It is humbling and a source of gratitude snd great joy. And it is happening all over the world, one person at a time

Comedian Collapses Onstage and Fractures Skull After Telling COVID Vaccine Joke

In comedy, timing is everything.

That led audience members at the Tempe Improv on Saturday night to think it was all part of the act when comedian Heather McDonald collapsed on stage after delivering a COVID-themed joke.

But the collapse was no joke for McDonald, who suffered a skull fracture, according to KPNX.

McDonald was just a few minutes into her routine at the Arizona venue when she veered into COVID territory.

“I’m vaxxed, double vaxxed, boosted … and flu shot and shingle shot and haven’t gotten COVID, and Jesus loves me most,” she said, according to TMZ.
The former “Chelsea Lately” star then dropped to the floor of the stage, hitting her head.

TMZ reported that audience members at first assumed the fall was part of her act. Once it was clear something was wrong, an EMT and a nurse in the crowd went up on stage to help until first responders arrived.

“She may have lost consciousness because of dehydration. She was tested and does not have COVID,” McDonald’s management said in a statement, indicating she could be released soon, KPNX reported.

McDonald posted a video to her Instagram Stories account to offer an explanation to her fans, according to Page Six.

“So I’m in the emergency room. I look weird. I’m so, so, so, so sorry,” she said. “I passed out on stage. I got up, I did one joke and I felt so dizzy.”

“You can see my eye, I fell on my eye. I cannot believe this happened.”

McDonald then offered an apology and a promise.

“I feel so terrible that they had to tell everyone to leave and then cancel the second show,” she said.

“Tempe, I will be back. I’ve never, ever fainted in my life.”
